Studio 84 is an independent recording and production studio in Leeds, run by producers and engineers Tom Mitchell & Dom Bennison.

We work with solo artists, bands, musicians and producers at every stage of the recording process — from capturing a great live performance to developing an idea into a fully produced, mixed and mastered track.

The aim is simple: to make your music sound as good as it possibly can.

That means combining great equipment, technical expertise and creative insight with something equally important — a relaxed, creative environment where you can concentrate and enjoy making your record.

Whether you’re recording a single, an EP, an album or simply exploring an idea, we’ll tailor the session around you and the way you like to work.

2026 brings an exciting new chapter for Studio 84: two producers, one studio and a shared focus on making great records.

We can take your project from its earliest stages through to the finished record — helping with arrangements and sounds, capturing performances and shaping the production and mix.

Technology matters, but knowing how to use it matters more.

Studio 84 combines professional recording equipment, carefully selected microphones and modern production tools with the experience needed to get the best from them.

Every project is different, so there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. We’ll choose the recording techniques, equipment and production methods that suit your music, rather than forcing your music to fit the studio.

From the first microphone placement to the final mix, attention to detail is at the heart of what we do.
